The multi-component sensor aixFORCE allows simultaneous measurement of the main mechanical quantities along the three main directions (x, y, z).
As a six-component sensor, the applied forces can be measured with high dynamics (Fx, Fy, Fz) in addition to the torques (Mx, My, Mz) acting on the axes. The 6-axis transducer now allows a true 3-dimensional image of the measurement setup, which also has convincing values with regard to the overshooting effects occurring with multi-component transducers.
The overall system includes a telemetry system specially developed for the dynamic requirements of drivetrain test stands. The power supply as well as digital data transmission are non-contact and give additional degrees of freedom in contrast to conventional non-rotating, wired systems.

In cooperation with aixACCT mechatronics, a measuring system has been developed that meets the highest requirements in test rig engineering. Existings measuring solutions were discussed in detail with the customer to identify new requirements. As a result the 6-axis sensor was implemented into existing test rigs as part of a revision.
The 6-axis sensor opens up unimaginable possibilities in the aixACCT mechatronics 4-SQUARE driveshaft test stand. Through the use of the sensor, in addition to the monitoring of aging processes in continuous running, NVH examinations over the entire life cycle of the driveshafts can now also be carried out in one step.
